🌿 February Bullet Journal Theme: Love & Romance
For this month’s spread, I wanted to continue my romantic journaling theme from last year. The color palette includes soft pinks, deep reds, and delicate floral elements, creating a cozy and elegant feel.
I start by lightly sketching the layout and lettering, ensuring the composition is balanced. I also mark areas where I plan to place stickers, making sure everything flows together seamlessly.
✍️ Bullet Journal Setup Process
Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how I created my February Monthly Log:
1️⃣ Sketching the Layout & Lettering
I begin by outlining the structure of the spread, including a monthly overview, a goals section, and space for important dates. Since I like to plan ahead, I also draft my weekly spreads for the month to stay consistent.
🎨 Pro Tip: If you struggle with straight lines, try sketching lightly with a pencil first—this allows for adjustments before inking.
2️⃣ Choosing Colors & Testing Markers
Before finalizing the spread, I select 2-3 colors that complement my chosen stickers. I always recommend keeping a color test page in your planner to see how markers look on paper before using them in your actual spreads.
3️⃣ Lettering & Calligraphy Accents
I take my time with the title, using a combination of simple handwriting and decorative lettering. While I haven’t mastered calligraphy, I find that slow, intentional strokes help create a polished look.
4️⃣ Adding Stickers & Washi Tape
My favorite part! I use stickers to bring the theme to life—roses, hearts, and elegant vintage details make the spread feel cohesive. If you prefer a minimalist approach, you can replace stickers with simple doodles instead.
5️⃣ Finishing Touches & Shadows
To add depth, I use a light gray marker to create subtle shadows under boxes and elements. These small details make the layout feel more dynamic without overpowering the design.
